The Philippine Collective: Weaving Possibilities Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.

The Philippine Collective: Weaving Possibilities “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only.

Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening” ~ Coco Chanel

As Mme. Chanel, so eloquently points out, fashion is indeed more than its physical manifestation; it is a reflection of the times and the prevailing mood of the era. In the tumultuous world that we currently live in, fashion also serves as a vicarious escape from the seemingly endless and grave issues that populate the news media--another means of coping in the high stress, fast-paced reality that most people face on a daily basis.

However, it is no longer enough to just produce beautiful and marketable fashion. The process and the sustainability of production are quickly becoming as important as the products themselves.

It is with this in mind that the SMART Cebu Project was initiated- to create a paradigm shift in how the companies operate and what kind of products they market to remain relevant in today’s extremely competitive environment.

By doing so, we transcend being mere manufacturers of fashion accessories; we become creators of pieces and collections that have a respect and deference to the environment that for so long has provided us with the building blocks for our products.

With this revitalized thought process, we aim to weave new possibilities and create more opportunities for a more lucrative future…
